WhatsApp reads the digits as an international number, so a number entered as (11) 98765-4321 or 011 98765-4321 will open a chat with whoever those digits belong to somewhere else in the world. The settings screen warns you if a number looks like it is missing its country code. ### Can I show more than one number? Yes. Fill in up to five contacts. With two or more, the button opens a contact picker so visitors choose who to message. ### Does it slow down my site? No. The CSS and JavaScript are small, framework-free, and only load on pages where the button is displayed. The QR code generator is a separate file that is only downloaded if a visitor actually submits a question, so ordinary page views never pay for it. ### Does the ask-a-question bar answer questions on my site? No. It collects the question and carries it into WhatsApp as the first message, so you answer in WhatsApp as usual. Contact 1 and 2 used to ship with a display name and subheading already written in, so filling in only a number published wording you never chose.
