Packie connects your WooCommerce store to NZ Post, Aramex, PostHaste, and Castle Parcels in one plugin.
What you get:
- Live shipping rates at checkout — real courier rates based on cart weight, dimensions, and destination.
- Real-time order sync — new WooCommerce orders appear in Packie instantly via webhooks.
- Automatic fulfillment writeback — print labels from Packie, tracking numbers appear back in WooCommerce automatically.

- Fallback rate — if Packie is ever unreachable, an optional flat-rate keeps checkout working.
How it works:
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Click “Connect to Packie” from WooCommerce Packie.
- Log into (or sign up for) your Packie account in the popup.
- Add “Packie Live Rates” as a shipping method inside each of your shipping zones.
- Done — live rates show at checkout.
Requires a Packie account. The plugin is free to install; a Packie subscription is required for live rates and order sync. Sign up at packie.co.nz.
External services
This plugin connects to the Packie service (https://www.packie.co.nz) to provide live shipping rates, order sync, and fulfillment writeback. It is required for the plugin to function.
What data is sent, and when:
- At checkout (to fetch live rates): the shopper’s destination address (country, city, postcode), and the cart’s item weights, dimensions, and quantities are sent to
https://www.packie.co.nzso Packie can return courier rates. No personal payment data is sent. - On new orders (order sync): order details (items, quantities, shipping address, order totals) are sent to Packie via a WooCommerce webhook so the order appears in your Packie dashboard for fulfillment.
- On connect: your store URL and a WooCommerce REST API key (which you generate) are sent to Packie to authenticate the connection.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Packie’s terms of service and privacy policy are available at https://www.packie.co.nz/terms and https://www.packie.co.nz/privacy.

- Upload the plugin to your WordPress site (Plugins Add New Upload Plugin), or install from the WordPress plugin directory.
- Activate the plugin.
- Go to WooCommerce Packie and click “Connect to Packie”.
- Log into your Packie account in the popup that opens.
- Once connected, add “Packie Live Rates” to each of your WooCommerce shipping zones.

Does the plugin cost anything?

What happens if the Packie API is down at checkout?

By default the plugin emits a configurable flat-rate fallback so shoppers can still complete checkout. You can turn this off per shipping zone in the method settings.

Does the plugin support variable products / product variants?

Yes. Weight and dimensions are read per-variant when set, falling back to the parent product otherwise.

How is my WooCommerce API key kept safe?

The plugin uses WooCommerce’s built-in REST API key mechanism. Keys are stored in your database, transmitted over HTTPS, and never exposed to the browser. You can revoke access at any time from WooCommerce Settings Advanced REST API.
